INTRODUCTION :
Despite slavery, humiliation, and humiliation, some may resist orders of progress and movement to get rid of slavery, preferring their current circumstances to the new unknown situations. It is not easy to replace the usual security and comfort with the unknown future. But what is the case when the Lord commands to move ?! If obedience is possible, is it possible to imagine how difficult the situation would be for the person who would take responsibility for leading the movement in a desert for 40 years until he reached the land that God promised to give to his people ?! What are the specifications that must be provided in that person in order to be able to carry out that task, especially if it is with a large number of people and difficult to see like the people of Israel ?! But through strange events, God intervenes to save His people. He becomes a Hebrew boy named Moses, the leader who will take over the task of liberating that people from slavery and leading them to the Promised Land.
Moses was the kind of people who can not get away from trouble. Once a conflict arises, they will intervene in it. The confrontation is their preferred work. He always seems to be attracted to what needs to be corrected. Throughout his life, whether at best or worst, he responds to the conflicts surrounding him, Even the burning bush incident was a picture of its nature. As soon as he saw the fire and saw that the fire was not burning, he quickly checked it out. Whether he is involved in a quarrel or trying to be a judge between two Israelites, as soon as he sees a dispute, he initiates his self-involvement. It is clear that it was never easy for him to move so many people without undergoing change in order to respond better to the events, especially as these people proved through their attitudes and behavior their stubbornness and hardness of heart, although God has provided them with all their physical needs Spiritual, and despite all the evidence of God's love and strength, they were constantly complaining, grumbling, and eager to return to their days in Egypt. That was what Moses had to face when God called him, so he had to change his method of dealing, so that he could accomplish that difficult task, and God had prepared through a plan ahead of that leading role.
From the beginning, and from the wondrous events surrounding the birth of Moses, God's great care and plan to fulfill His promise to Abraham, by choosing His people to be a blessing for the whole world. "As he was nearing the fulfillment of that promise, the people in Egypt were multiplying and increasing the number to over two million. Egypt has a new king who did not know Joseph's command, so he betrayed them and mistreated them until he forced them to give up their children to die "(Acts 19:17: 7). The Exodus chapter 1 tells how Pharaoh Egypt treated the Hebrews and ridiculed them in hard work. He then asked two Hebrew women to kill every child of the Hebrew women, but the two could not do so because they feared God. And after Pharaoh knew this, he issued an order to all his people to put every Hebrew child in the river (21: 1). At that time, in the midst of these harsh circumstances, Moses was born "from his mother Yokabad and his father Amram" and was very beautiful. As for his birth, it is mentioned in the second chapter of the same passage: "A man married from the house of Levi, the daughter of Levi, and the woman bore and bore a son, and his beauty hid him for three months: and when she could not hide him yet, she came with the foam of the papyrus, And his sister stood from afar to see what was happening to him, and Pharaoh's daughter came to bathe in the river, while she and her hostess were walking on the bank of the river, and she saw the thugs among the allies, and sent forth her flock to come in. And she opened it and saw the child. This is one of the children of the Hebrews: and his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call you a nurse from? The Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go, and the girl will go and call the mother of the boy." Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this boy and give him to me, and I will give you your reward. (10: 2). Thus, for the first few years Moses spent in the house of his father and his mother, under their care, the great role was to instill the seeds of the first faith in his heart, which produced love, knowledge and trust in the promises of God. And after Pharaoh's daughter and his daughter adopted him. "Moses taught all the sciences of Egypt, until he became strong in saying and work, and when he reached the age of forty years risking his heart to inspect the conditions of his brothers from the children of Israel, he saw one of them assaulted by an Egyptian, intervened to defend the oppressed, and avenged him and killed the Egyptian, His brothers that God will save them on his hand But they did not realize The next day he found two of his brothers are engaged, he tried to reconcile them, saying: You are brothers, why assault one of the other? What was the aggressor to his relative but pushed away, Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday? And here Moses fled from Egypt to Medina , Where he lived a stranger. There is sired and religion "(Acts 29.22: 20).
When Moses thought that he could save his people, committing a murder against the Egyptian who feared, and in order to incriminate him, he fled to the land of Midian. He became a stranger in a strange land, away from his home and family, and stayed there for forty more years in the wilderness. Between the life of Moses as an Egyptian prince, and his life as a sheep herder in Midian, where everything was voluntary as a prince. The famous son of an Egyptian princess, while he was a shepherd, did everything himself. Having lived the life of the Bedouin shepherd, He also knew life in the wilderness, and there he learned humility, and realized that he alone could do nothing Without God, who was prepared for the leadership at that time, and was not in the ability of Moses to see it himself, unless God prepared for it. And so he was ready to serve, and from there the process of change began. The amazing thing about the change that happened in the nature of Moses is not that he stopped interfering, but he learned to intervene in a proper way. The change in the picture continued every day. "Forty years later, Moses was in the desert of Mount Sinai, when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from a burning fire. The sight aroused the astonishment of Moses. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and Moses was afraid, and he no longer dared to look, and the Lord said to him, "Take off your shoes, because the place where you stand is a holy land." I saw the torment that my people were suffering in Egypt and I heard their moans. Moses, who was rejected by his people, saying: Who established you as president and judge on us? Himself sent by God as president and editor, supported by the angel The people were brought out of Egypt and were doing miracles and wonders in them, and in the Red Sea, and in the desert for forty years. " (Acts 36: 30: 7) .. From here began the confrontations and suffering of Moses, and carries within him all that love is hard on his God and his people, his life was a chain not interrupted by continuous jihad, and bitter taste of the cruelty of the heart of the people, About two million souls in the desert are a major challenge to his ability. He was often the mediator between God and the people. Once he reacted to God's wrath to the stubbornness and arrogance of the people. Once again he had to face the wrath of the people, and the third time he had to face their unjustified attacks.
Leadership often requires confrontation. Learning confrontation in a manner consistent with the will of God requires getting used to obeying it, and the best times to learn obedience are the times when the pressure is low. When the time of pressure comes, our natural reaction is to obey God in the face of difficult situations. That was Moses' only mistake. In one of all the difficult situations he faced, he failed to obey his anger at the actions of the Israelites. After wandering for 37 years in the wilderness, they forgot that their wandering was the result of their sin, and did not acknowledge the fact that they were the ones who brought the problems on themselves, so they blamed Moses for their situation, so Moses was very upset, because he found in them a slander and rebellion against him and God. Despite his patience and his dream, he made the only mistake that prevented him from entering the Promised Land. Count (12,11: 20).
Nowadays, in which literary standards have fallen, it is almost impossible to believe that God is punishing Moses for the only time he has disobeyed him, this strict punishment. What we can not see is that God did not reject Moses, but that Moses was the one who stripped himself of the qualifications necessary to enter the Promised Land. God forgave him what he had done, but until the last moment he called him up to Mount Nebo where he died, To remain steadfast in his humility, remembering his weaknesses (Deuteronomy 52,48: 32). Moses accepted the discipline before his death, but he entered the Promised Land when Christ appeared on the mountain (Matthew 3:17; Matt 4: 9; Luke 3: 9). He also looked at the earth before his death (Deut. 4:34), and rejoiced at what his people would receive as if he had received it.
We may see in Moses a prominent figure formed by God, but we have to misunderstand what God did, he did not change the character of Moses or his nature, but used Moses as it is, Moses's abilities and energies did not change, but changing the method of Moses in use ... Do you know that Change your perception of God's will in your life? He tries to take what he has created and invests in how he intends to invest in them constantly. Next time, when you talk to God, do not ask: What do you want to change in? Rather, how do you want me to use my talents and abilities to complete your will?
Strengths and achievements
- Learn when Egyptians, trained in the wild.
- the greatest leader in the history of the Israelites, who led the process of exit.
- Prophet and legislator, who recorded the Ten Commandments.
- God inspired him to write the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament).
Weaknesses and Mistakes:
- Did not enter the Promised Land because of his disobedience to God.
- He has not always distinguished and used the talents of others.
Lessons from his life:
The events that accompanied the life of Moses since his birth, which we have outlined above, show how God used all these events to prepare and train him for 80 years, including the first years he spent under And then adopted the daughter of Pharaoh, and then the most important lessons learned in that vast wilderness calm, which had a great impact in the preparation and prepared to build the strongest relationship with God to become more attached to it and relying on it. Derived from that relationship strength and faith, which led him to change his view of life, changing his style of dealing, and surprised himself and learn patience and friendliness and made all the specifications required for wise leadership. He became one of the greatest leaders of Israel, and God was with him always in all kinds of service, whether in leadership, prophecy or legislation, or writing books. Moses did not stop serving until the last moments of his life. The book states that "Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, and he did not wear his eyes or be angry with his youth" (Deut. 7:34). This teaches us that everything that happens in our lives We all know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, and that all things will work together for the good of those who love God, (Romans 28: 8). Despite the evil prevailing in our fallen world, God is able to turn everything in the end to our good, but He does not do all the things to be happy with the standards of the world, but to fulfill his purpose, and that his promise is not for every human being, but a promise to be adhered to only by all who love God and agree with his will, so that he becomes a new look and thought of life, He looks to his safety in heaven and not on earth, learns to endure pain and persecutions on earth without resentment, because it makes him more adherent to God. That is exactly what happened with Moses.
2 - God completes his great work through weak people: If we obey the timing of the call, we note that God did not call Moses, a young man in the middle of his age and the height of his power and wisdom, which he learned from the Egyptians, but called him at the age of eighty, where the sense of Moses helpless to strong The degree to which he did not trust at first the ability of God to help him, he had to face his inability many times. He saw him at the beginning of his call apologizing because he felt that he was not qualified for the work he had asked him (Exodus 11: 3), even though God promised him that he would be with him. After seeing him fearful because of his excessive expectations, he was concerned about how the people would respond to him (Exodus 1: 4). God supported him with miracles he carried out. Nevertheless, the last time we see him pleading with God to relieve him of that task, feeling helpless because he is heavy-tongued and tongue-tied (Ex 14:10, 4), which angered the Lord. Even if Moses' rejection at first was proof that he was at the highest level Because of his sense that he was nothing, after all that level of competence that he reached as a result of God's long preparation for him, which indicates his humility, but this was not an excuse for him to refuse whatever the reasons, whatever his feeling of the previous failure bitter as a result of his dependence on himself, If the Lord assured him that he would be with him, he promised him miracles and assured him that he was the Creator of everything. There is a great difference between a To humility and denial of service. But all this did not stop the Lord from using Moses, because he looked at his problem in a completely different way. He saw it in the picture that would be on it, not in the picture that was on it. All that Moses needed was some help. And when he noticed his hesitation, he agreed that his brother Aaron would help him to speak about him. This proves to us that God may not call a person when he is strong and with great gifts, so that he can not imagine. To do the work and not to need God; and secondly: it not only uses the mighty but even the weak, the hard-working and the oppressed In their work. And on the other hand to prove to us that when God called us for a certain work, He does not send us before the creation of the conditions and the preparation of all the resources that help in the work. If God calls us, we must not hide behind our inability, but look beyond ourselves, to the great resources available to us, Then we can let God use our unique contributions, and if the deficit extends to one of our weaknesses, we can trust that it will provide us with words, strength, courage and power wherever we need it.
3 - Faith dispels fear and helps in the implementation of God's plans: The faith of many people who played a role in keeping the life of Moses, and his faith is, of course, had a great impact in the rescue of Moses and the implementation of God's plan for his life and the lives of Israel and then humanity as a whole, We find how the faith of the Hebrew midwives in God gave them the courage to stand by what they know to be true. These midwives showed great courage and love to God, risking their lives by disobeying Pharaoh's command. Then Moses' family, his parents trusted in God about the life of their son, believing that God would take care of Moses, and God used the little work his mother had done courageously to overcome almost impossible conditions from the point of view of human beings, until their faith was mentioned in Heb. 23:11. As for Moses, he said in the same letter: "By faith, Moses himself, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.
4 - insistence and harbinger on the completion of the call of God: After the invitation of Moses, and when he started work, faced with many difficulties and was rejected by Pharaoh Egypt at the beginning, and then of his people also. Pharaoh did not care at all about the letters of God, which Moses had reached, but resisted them with all severity, urging him to increase his oppression to the Hebrews (Exodus 11: 3-5). Despite Moses' many attempts, and the miracles God performed on his hand, and despite the repeated warnings, Pharaoh continued to meet all this refusal, even brought stubborn disobedience, pain for him and his country. As a result of his position, the people of Israel became, in a state of smallness, unable to listen, because the last time he listened to Moses, he suffered only more suffering and more work (Exodus 12: 9-6). Let us imagine how difficult it was for Moses to communicate his messages to Pharaoh, while his own people found it difficult to believe in them. Perhaps Moses was tired, and he was so frustrated that he complained that God had hurt the people because he did not save them (Exodus 23,22: 5). But God kept sending him, and Moses obeyed until the people were released. And even after that in the wilderness, he suffered greatly from the rebellion of the people and his constant discontent, and the realization of many mistakes, was sometimes angry, and calls God to intervene sometimes, and sometimes pray and intercede them, but never tired, but struggled and remained faithful to call to the end .. From We understand that difficulties may sometimes come from obedience to God, and this may lead us to feel miserable in our lives, but that does not mean that we have fallen from the circle of God's care, but that we suffer because we are doing good in a wicked world. Any change in attitude, and may make other virtual obstacles are not ready to hear a voice God, or learn more about Him. But that does not have to be a motive for us to surrender, or to leave work whatever it is. Let us not let our troubles and pain weaken our faith or discourage our determination. Focusing on the obligation to obey God, rather than the achievable results, makes us see beyond obstacles and time constraints. "This is because what troubles us now is simple passing difficulties, which results in a limitless limit on our eternal glory, as we turn our attention away from the things that are seen and prove them to things that are invisible. (2 Cor. 18,17: 4). Let us always remember that it is easy for anyone to obey God when work is easy and supportive of all. But who possesses firm faith and perseverance is the only one who is able to obey when action seems impossible. In this the Apostle Paul urges us, "Do not be lazy in diligence, but be incensed in the Spirit, servants who serve the Lord, happy with hope, patient in distress, persevering in prayer" (Rom 12: 12,12).
5 - Blessings of the company with God the Father: After God chose Moses and his closeness to him, Moses dedicated himself to a sincere devotion to God, sanctified his life, replacing all his wisdom and knowledge and self - ability of God Almighty unlimited, which made him in close and close relationship with a deep and effective company. This was a special privilege, which was not within the reach of the rest of his people at that time. "God spoke to Moses face to face, as man speaks to his neighbor" (Exodus 11:33), and this was the secret of his power "to meet and dialogue with God." So that it was reflected on the face of Moses Filma, the people clearly see the record and the glory of God reflected on the face of Moses whenever he met him. As a result of this relationship, the grace and blessings of the Lord overflowed upon Moses and was filled with His Holy Spirit, which reflected its fruits in the life of Moses. He was distinguished by the qualities of the outstanding spiritual leader and the good shepherd who put himself away from the sheep. Which is the most important of which are: -) His passionate love and his holy love for him: Moses knew how to deal with God in the spirit of humility accompanied by boldness, taking advantage of his infinite love, to enter more into the divine embrace, raped himself and his people mercy and love. This deep bond of love is evidenced by his connection with God and with his people and is clear in chapter 33 of Exodus. After God forgave the sin of the wicked people by making a golden calf and worshiping him (Exodus 16: 32), and after his feelings before the scenes of the shameful rebellion had overtaken him, he broke the signs of the law that contained the Ten Commandments and instructed the leadership of the Israelites to the life of practical holiness. He found it broken in the hearts of the people, "reflecting his spiritual vitality and his jealousy, which expressed his wrath against sin." We see him admonishing God with audacity and humility, as if reminding him that he was the one who asked him to lead that people, and asked him to guide him on his way to walk according to his purpose, and to enjoy his happiness. Then he asks to attend and accompany the Lord, otherwise he will not go up from there. And after the Lord had accepted His request, because He had received His favor, and He had known His name, We see Him being encouraged and asking God for Him, unless He dared to seek His will. But because Moses asked something that he could not bear, the Lord showed his love through His glory, which is revealed in His mercy, grace, goodness, faith, forgiveness, and work: the love and mercy of God is the most beautiful thing that has been declared about Him.
- His love for his people and his jealousy against him: despite all the love and jealousy that filled the heart of Moses towards his God, but that never conflicted with his love for his people and his jealousy on them. On the contrary, it is with that love that we derive from that spring, which is infused with love, "the heart of God the Father," was able to deal with that people, despite their rebellion and the stubbornness of their hearts and their many mistakes, but he did not abandon his parental love and care for them. And to forgive them for their sins and not to destroy them in his wrath, to the extent that he would be willing to erase his name from the eternal book in the absence of forgiveness for them. "Now if you will, forgive them, otherwise forgive me your book." (Ex 32:32). God accepted His intercession and responded to His prayers, and Moses continued faithful in His love for them and interceded with them even after He caused
