Jesus Christ is the Son of God : The names of Christ in the Qur'an

The Qur'an mentioned a group of names for Christ, including:

1. Christ:

It was mentioned in  Al-Imran 45: 3, "His name is Jesus, the Son of Mary," where the name of Christ was mentioned eleven times in the Qur'an (Women 157: 4, 171,172; Table 17: 5, 72 and 75; repentance 30: 9 and 31). ُ Islam Explanation differed on the Qur'an in the interpretation of the meaning of the word of Christ, and they said:

" He was called Christ because he did not wipe with a disability except he was acquitted of illness. :

" Christ, which is covered with the oil of the blessing. "
" Because beauty wiped him and hit him. "
" It is also called because it is purified of sins."
" Christ is as a  friend."
" Christ was named for his multitude tourism ."
" Christ is the name of Jesus not derived, and God has called him."
We note here that these meanings given by Muslims to Christ, and it failed to give the true meaning of the word, it shows the unique privileges of Christ: He is a doctor, healing in the spirit of blessing, free from sins, he is friend and beauty is brilliant and apparent, and whether Muslim scholars confess or not, Christ is superior human qualities. The Qur'an and the Prophet openly acknowledge that all human beings are sinners except Christ, that is, Christ is placed above all human beings.

2. The Word of God:

The name of the Word of God is mentioned in three verses of the Qur'an: In Surah Al-Nisa '171: 4' But Jesus Christ is the Son of Mary, the Messenger of God, and His Word is delivered to Mary and the Spirit of Him. 'In Surat Al-'Imran 39: 3 By the word of God. "And in Imran 45: 3 'When the angels said," Mary, God gives you a word from him, whose name is Jesus, the Son of Mary, and good in this world and the Hereafter, and those close to Him. " There are also many interpretations and Islamic narratives of the meaning of 'Word' ie the word of God, and what they said:

" Jesus called his word because it was the word of God that is "be"so he was without a father (Al Qurtubi and Ibn Katheer and others).

" His word is his message to Mary (Abu Obeid in the interpretation of al-Qurtubi)."
" A word from God is a book from God (Al-Razi)."
" God gathered between the image and the spirit, was the emergence of a complete appearance of humans and the interior of the king, it is the spirit of God and his word (Ibn Arabi)."

" The mother of Yahya (John the Baptist) told Mary: 'I find that in my belly prostrate to who is in your belly' "
This is his endorsement of Issa and his prostration in the womb of his mother (Ibn Abbas, al-Tabari, Ibn Katheer, Qurtubi and others).

" His word is like the saying "Be and be" (Qatada in the interpretation of Ibn Katheer)."
"It was said that he was called a word because people are guided by it as they are guided by the words of Allaah (al-Qurtubi)."
" The word is said here in the sense of verse (Qurtubi)."

Despite the multiplicity of these interpretations, we find that the most popular explanation is to say that Christ was created by the word 'be' in the belly of Mary. But by returning to the Qur'anic verses that speak of 'His word' ie the Word of God, 'Word of Him' and 'Word of God', we find no reference to the creation of the word, The Word, as well as the dumping of this word to Mary. That is, the Word was present before He was given to Mary. The word 'clearly' refers to a person, an organism with a name that is Christ, and does not refer to a final action. Thus, Islamic interpretations are nothing more than desperate attempts to deny the existence of the Word, that is, the presence of Christ, before the Virgin Mary carried it in her bosom. It is obvious that the pre-natal existence denies that Christ is a creature but is born of the Virgin Mary. A proof of his originality and his incarnation as a human being by birth of the Virgin Mary. Since Jesus Christ is a word of God, the logical conclusion is that he is called the Son of God. "The Word was God, and the Word was God" and "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory as the glory of the Father alone, full of grace and truth" (John 1: 1-14).

3. Spirit of God:

Christ was called 'the Spirit of Him', ie from God, once in the Koran in Surat Al-Nasa 171: 4 "But Jesus Christ the Son of Mary is the Messenger of God and his Word to Mary and the Spirit of Him." Here, Muslim commentators face a major problem in interpreting the meaning of the 'spirit of God' even though they avoid saying the existence of this problem. It says in Surat Al-Isra 85:17 'And they ask you about the Spirit, Say: The Spirit is from the command of my Lord.' According to the Islamic novel, the occasion of this verse was when the Jews challenged the Prophet of Islam to explain to them the meaning of the spirit ', God revealed to Muhammad this verse that confirms that God only knows the meaning of the word spirit. But Muslim scholars were not convinced by this explicit Qur'anic acknowledgment of the Prophet Muhammad's ignorance of the meaning of the Spirit, and therefore they were devoured in the development of narratives and meanings to explain this word. What concerns us here is its interpretation in Surah Nisa 171: 4, ie, its connection with the person of Christ, ', And what they said in the interpretation of this name:

" And the spirit of him is any of his creation and of him (Ibn Katheer)."
" And the spirit of him means  messenger of God (Mujahid in the interpretation of Ibn Katheer)."
" And the spirit of him means  love of God (many said that in the interpretation of Ibn Katheer)."
" And the spirit of him means  mercy or proof of God (Qurtubi). "

Despite these contradictions , they are accepted by Muslims as long as the meaning does not say that Christ is a spiritual being, that is, not like human beings, but beyond them, a spirit from God. The spirit of God, that is, the spirit of God the Spirit, has the same spiritual nature of God, is therefore the wonderful spiritual being, who came from heaven, and took a human body in the bowels of Mary, He is born in the world in the form of a perfect human being. He is the incarnate soul that comes from 'him' ie from God, that is, the Incarnate Son of God, the one spiritual essence with God.

4. The saying of the truth:

This name was mentioned once in Surat Maryam 34:19: 'That is Jesus, the son of Mary, the saying of the truth .'
The scholars of the interpretation of the Qur'an accuse the Christians of exaggeration in the matter of Christ and not mention the truth, but we find that all the books of the Islamic interpretation of the Qur'an are working hard to give strange interpretations, and even offensive, to the Gospel.
Despite this false accusation against the Christians, this will not prevent us from redirecting our eyes and ideas to this wonderful name 'the saying of truth'. All Muslim commentators recognize that the truth here is God, and therefore Christ is the Word of God. Since this name did not come in connection with the birth of Christ, so no Muslim scholar here said that the word 'say' is the act of 'being' as they said in their interpretation of the word 'his word', so we do not find an expansive explanation of the meaning of ' The name of God is the word of God in the absolute sense, and the Word of God came to the world in the form of Christ, that is, the Word or Word became man, Christ the Son of God.

5. The Qur'an lists other names and attributes of Christ, all of which demonstrate the greatness, purity and perfection of Christ, despite attempts by the interpreters of the Qur'an to belittle these names, including a verse for the people (Mary 21:19) and a sign for the worlds (Prophets 9:21) (Mary 19:19) A mercy from us - from God (Mary 21:19) from the righteous (Al-Imran 46: 3 and Al-Anam 85: 6) and righteousness to my mother (Mary 32:19) : 19) Peace be upon Christ-Mary (33:19) Good in the world and in the Hereafter (Al-Imran 45: 3) Flag of the hour (Decoration 61: 43. See also Lukman 34: 31 and separated 47:41) 5).
